The Embassy of the Republic of Burundi was honored to participate in Solstice Saturday at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art on June 21, 2025. This remarkable occasion provided a valuable platform to highlight the richness of Burundi’s cultural heritage, promote cultural diplomacy, and engage meaningfully with over 5,000 visitors.
Guests were invited to experience the vibrant rhythms of Burundian traditional dance, savor the distinct flavors of Burundian coffee & food, an enduring expression of our artisanal identity. Attendees also had the opportunity to interact with unique Burundian artifacts and goods showcased at the Burundi marketplace.
Through this dynamic celebration, the Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening cultural ties and fostering mutual understanding between the people of Burundi and the United States.
