The Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to the United States, H.E. Jean Bosco BAREGE, is exploring new opportunities for cooperation with the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) to improve the quality of education and learning outcomes in Burundi.
In this regard, the Ambassador welcomed Charles North, Deputy Executive Director of the Global Partnership for Education, accompanied by Sirtaj Kaur, at the Embassy of Burundi for an exchange on ways to strengthen collaboration in support of Burundi’s education sector.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss potential areas of partnership aimed at improving the quality of education, strengthening the education system, and supporting its continued development to better serve Burundian learners.
The Global Partnership for Education is a global initiative dedicated to addressing the learning crisis by bringing together governments, development partners, and financial resources to transform education systems and expand access to quality education. To date, GPE reports having mobilized US$3.5 billion in support of quality education worldwide.
This engagement reflects Burundi’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing efforts to build a more effective, inclusive and quality-driven education system for future generations.
